What Spotson is

A map of places to go in Washington, DC (happy hours and deals, trivia, music, markets and more), made from venues' own pages and from what people post and say about them. It is free. You can look, and say you were there, without an account; posting needs one.

Times and prices are what was reported

Everything on the map, with its times and prices, is what a venue's own page said or what someone posted or said, on the date shown next to it. Any of it can be out of date or wrong. Check before you go. We are not responsible for a time or a price that is not right, or for something that is not on.

What you may post

Something to do: something real on at a real place, like a happy hour, a night or a market, not a person, with when it's on, and its prices if it has them, each a real item at a real price. A photo: of what you went for, with no one's face in it, no menu board and no price in the picture. A reply, for places only: a short word under one price.
Post only what is true and what you have the right to post. No spam, no ads, and no posting as a place you do not run.

What you keep, what you give us

What you post is yours. By posting it you let us store it, show it, resize it and pass it on to the people using Spotson, for as long as Spotson exists. We do not sell it or license it to anyone else.

What we may do

Hide a post that breaks these rules, or a post or a photo at the request of a person it names or shows. Take down a photo. Close an account that keeps breaking the rules. Change or stop Spotson.

If you run a place

Once we have checked that a place is yours, your posts carry its name and count as the place's word. You cannot remove or change what people confirm or report; when people report a different price or time from yours, both are shown.

Accounts

One per person. Keep your password to yourself; what is posted from your account is yours to answer for.

Take-downs

Write to hello@spotson.me. Say which post or photo, and why.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes. Using Spotson after that means you accept them.
